William van Esveld studied and worked in fashion design. After working in the fashion industry in Amsterdam and Barcelona he started illustrating for several fashion magazines and publishers. Also he started working with retail brands during the early days of his career.
His first interior design assignment was to develop shop concepts and design window display concepts for ‘Mac & Maggie', a Netherlands based, youth fashion retailer with shops in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Later on William worked for several design and creative brand agencies.

In 2001, William co-founded with Stephen Hancock, the Aime Creative Direction studio.
This new studio was contracted by a large number of retail brands to develop brand identity and retail environments.

In 2008 William expanded into product design. In order to accommodate the extra time and reflection for this work, he restructured and renamed the company, and it is now known as ‘William van Esveld studio’. The basic principles of the studio remain the same; bridging various disciplines, combining architecture/ interior and graphic design.
William designs for brands, retailers and public environments.

The studio adds energy and design experience to create fresh, inspriring and challenging environments.
